  11/20/20 - WR *Jaylen WaddleJr/2021, Alabama

The outlook for injured Alabama star Jaylen Waddle continues to be very good, enough so that Nick Saban confirmed Thursday night that it's possible the preseason All-American wide receiver could return later in the season. The update from Saban came after Waddle got his cast removed earlier in the day, 26 days after he suffered a significant ankle injury vs. Tennessee that was originally labeled as a season-ending injury. "We're very encouraged," Saban said during his weekly radio show. "Everybody thinks he's doing really, really well. He's had a great attitude about it and he's going to work hard and he told me that he wants to try to come back and play, but we're certainly not going to let that happen until he's fully 100 percent healthy." Waddle, a potential 2021 early first-round draft pick, had 24 catches for 557 yards and four touchdowns in the Crimson Tide's first four games before getting hurt on the opening kickoff against Tennessee. - Birmingham News
