Matt Corral looked good passing all game, especially when targeting wide receiver Elijah Moore. Moore caught 10 passes for 227 yards on 12 targets and had a touchdown taken off the board because of a holding penalty. Moore finished six yards short of setting the Ole Miss record for receiving yards in a game. Senior receiver Dontario Drummond also had a big day, catching two touchdowns and throwing for a 45-yard completion on a gadget play in the first quarter. Corral finished with 395 passing yards and three touchdowns. If you adjust for sacks, he ran for 81 yards on nine scrambles.

Moore was the go-to target in Ole Miss' offense in 2019. Among returning SEC receivers, only Alabama's DeVonta Smith caught more first downs last year than Moore's 37. Moore is hardly a deep threat. Only eight of his 67 catches last season went for 25 or more yards. But he thrives in small spaces and is an excellent route runner. Ole Miss used Moore as an extension of the running game last year with 48 of his catches and 617 of his yards coming on first and second down. - The Clarion Ledger
