Draft Scout College Football Player News

Less than two weeks before the start of the season, Texas A&M has lost its top wide receiver. Senior Jhamon Ausbon announced Sunday that he's opting out of the season and beginning his prep for the 2021 NFL draft. Ausbon, a big part of the Texas A&M passing game each of the last three years, was a team captain for the Aggies last season and led A&M with 66 catches and 872 yards. Based on early NFL feedback and grades gathered by, Ausbon seems to be viewed as a fourth-to-fifth round type player at this point. It's a definite blow to the Texas A&M offense. With Ausbon opting out and with Camron Buckley out for the year due to a knee injury, the Aggies don't have anyone currently playing wide receiver that caught more than three passes last season. - Birmingham News
