Cornerback Camryn Bynum announced Sunday that he intends to forego his fifth-year redshirt senior season at Cal and enter the 2021 NFL Draft. Bynum had planned to play for the Golden Bears in 2020 before the team's campaign was postponed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The 22-year-old is on track to graduate from Cal in December of 2020 with a bachelor's degree in American studies. He is the first Cal player to declare for the NFL Draft with collegiate eligibility remaining since Chad Hansen in 2017. Bynum started each of Cal's 38 games at cornerback from 2017-19 to equal Luc Bequette and Jake Curhan for the most starts on the team during that period after redshirting as a 2016 true freshman He posted career totals of 169 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss (-13 yards), 0.5 sacks (-5 yards), five interceptions, 27 pass breakups and 32 passes defended, with his 27 career pass breakups ranking fifth in school history. - Cal Football
