  Draft Scout by Conference

With the departure of Tyler Haycraft after the 2019 season, there was a hole that Louisville had to fill at right tackle. Renato Brown, a soon-to-be redshirt freshman, looked like a candidate to fill that position. The versatile offensive lineman from West Palm Beach, Florida, has played both guard and tackle for Louisville. When the season ended, offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford had a message for Brown. Ledford said, "If you want it, go get it," Brown recalled. And that's what he's done by all accounts. With less than three weeks left before the season, Brown is the projected starter at right tackle. He's been one of the most impressive players on the offense, not just the offensive line, Ledford said. "It's just how hard he is going now. It's like he's broken out of his shell and is letting loose and everybody," left guard Caleb Chandler said. "He's working his butt off and it's showing." - Courier Journal
