When EA Sports released the full ratings for its "Madden NFL 21" video game on Friday, the Denver Broncos thought the hit-power rating for safety Kareem Jackson was off the mark, so the NFL team asked the game-makers to review Jackson's credentials. That happened, and Jackson received a better rating on Monday. The Broncos requested the review via Twitter, and they attached video evidence to make their case - a hit laid on wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins of Jackson's old team, the Houston Texans, on Dec. 8.

Playing against the Texans for the first time after spending the first nine seasons of his NFL career as a cornerback for Houston, the former Alabama standout made 11 tackles, returned a fumble 70 yards for a touchdown, intercepted a pass and broke up two passes, including one to Hopkins with a big hit, in Denver's 38-24 victory. When the game-makers responded, the Broncos supplied another clip of the safety's ability to strike a blow. Jackson's original hit-power rating had been 83 (out of a possible 99), which was tied for 35th among the NFL's strong safeties. After review, Jackson has an 88 for hit-power rating, which is tied for 10th at his position. - Birmingham News
