  07/18/20 - DE Aaron LewisrSr/2025, Rutgers

Could former Williamstown (N.J.) defensive end Aaron Lewis return home to the Garden State after entering the transfer portal on Wednesday? The 6-6, 260-pound four-star defensive lineman was the second player to commit to Michigan's 2020 class. However, his time in Ann Arbor was short lived. Lewis migrated there in January and spent more than two months with the his new team prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. But, due to undisclosed health issues of his mother, Lewis plans to transfer close to home, he told NJ Advance Media on Wednesday. "She will be fine, but closer to home is where I need to be right now," Lewis said. Does that mean Rutgers, I asked. "I guess we will see," he replied. Lewis pegs the University of Maryland and Penn State as contenders which also provide him the chance to play Power 5 ball (relatively) close to home. - Star Ledger
