Draft Scout College Football Player News

Louisiana Tech has suspended voluntary football workouts "for at least a couple of days," school officials told The News-Star Monday afternoon. Another football player tested positive for COVID-19 and following contact tracing, "a couple more players" will have to quarantine for 14 days. Per privacy laws, the identities of the players were not revealed. More than 40 players, including many returners who did not come back during the first wave of players back in June as well as incoming freshmen, reported to campus in Ruston Monday for "week 0," or the process the only allows them to get tested for the coronavirus and clear physicals. They are not allowed to workout until next Monday. Mandatory workouts for Tech are scheduled to begin July 13, as part of the six-week preseason college football calendar the NCAA approved last month. - Monroe News Star
