  Draft Scout by Conference

Auburn cornerback Noah Igbinoghene was one of three players who joined the Miami Dolphins as first-round selections in the NFL Draft on April 23. Igbinoghene never squared off against the player taken with the 18th choice by Miami, Southern Cal offensive tackle Austin Jackson, but he can vouch for the Dolphins' selection with the No. 5 pick, Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Igbinoghene lined up at cornerback against Tagovailoa in only one game, but in that contest, the Crimson Tide QB completed 25-of-32 passes for 324 yards, tied a school single-game record with five touchdown passes and set a school single-game mark for touchdown responsibility by also running for a score in Alabama's 52-21 victory on Nov. 23, 2018.

After playing wide receiver the previous season, Igbinoghene finished second for Auburn with seven tackles in that game. He didn't get his chance to even the score against Tagovailoa last season. A hip injury kept the quarterback out of the 2019 Iron Bowl, which Auburn won 48-45 with Igbinoghene contributing five tackles and a pass breakup. "He didn't play this past year," Igbinoghene said, "but my 2018 year, my first year playing the position, so going against him my first time, I'm not going to lie, I was kind of nervous going into that Iron Bowl game. That was my first Iron Bowl ever playing the corner position. You can't even imagine how I felt. But I felt like I played a pretty good game. "He's a fantastic quarterback. Going to have a tremendous career, so I just can't wait to get to work with him." - Birmingham News
