  05/06/20 - DE Chad ThomasSr/2018, Miami

Chad Thomas is building quite the hip-hop resume. The former Miami Hurricane produced and sung the hook on "Trap Back," a track from Young Thug and Chris Brown's joint mixtape "Slime & B" which released Tuesday. Thomas, who raps under the name "Major Nine," has previously produced songs for Rick Ross, Kodak Black and City Girls. The Liberty City native is by no means an average musician. In addition to being able to read and write music, Thomas plays nine instruments (piano, organ, drums, guitar, bass guitar, trombone, clarytone, tuba and trumpet), according to Bleacher Report. "It was just listening to music and then coming up in the church, watching the musicians," Thomas told The Washington Post of his musical origins. "... I just said I wanted to do it. I didn't want to play just one instrument though. I wanted to play all the instruments." - Miami Herald
