The 6-foot-3, 296-pounder has a wealth of experience, starting since the first game of his freshman year in 2016. After leaving some plays on the field during his first few seasons, Davidson put it all together as a senior and was a force up front for the Tigers. He totaled 48 tackles, including a team-leading 12.5 for a loss and 7.5 sacks to go along with five quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles - both on strip-sacks - and a pass breakup while earning All-SEC recognition and picking up a pair of second-team All-America honors. He also boosted his stock in the process while shining alongside future top-10 pick Derrick Brown.Davidson has been bent on proving he's worthy of being a first-round pick, like Brown, and he hoped to show that off to teams both at the NFL Combine and earlier this month at Auburn's pro day. At the Combine, he ran a 5.04 in the 40-yard dash and showed a willingness and ability to play both inside and out along the line-something he also displayed during his pro day on the Plains while dealing with a minor hamstring tweak. "Everybody wants to prove somebody wrong," Davidson said. "I'm trying to prove that I'm the best player in the world. I'm trying to prove people wrong every day….I wanted to show these people that I'm real. I wanted to show these people that I have the passion for the game, and I will play through anything to have this opportunity." - Birmingham News
