  2019 ALL-NSIC SOUTH DIVISION FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Tyler Thomsen, LB, Sr., Wayne State, Fremont, Neb.,...Thomsen, a 6-1, 225-pound senior linebacker from Fremont (Archbishop Bergan HS) is a repeat selection to the All-NSIC South Division First Team. Despite missing 3 1/2 games due to an ankle injury, Thomsen still ranked second on the team in total tackles with 64 this season and averaged 8.0 tackles per contest. He had 4.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks for 12 yards, two forced fumbles, two breakups and one fumble recovery. Thomsen recorded back-to-back games of 13 tackles vs. the University of Mary and #3 Minnesota State. Last season, Thomsen led the NSIC in total tackles (120) and earned numerous post-season honors highlighted by Don Hansen Football Gazette Third Team All-American. - Wayne State Football
