09/21 WEEK 3 SEC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: Jared Curtis, Vanderbilt,...Vanderbilt's Jared Curtis, a freshman quarterback from Dickson, Tenn., recorded 341 yards of total offense and accounted for three touchdowns in his first collegiate start to lead the Com modores to a victory over NC State. Curtis completed 20-of-34 passes for a career-best 277 yards and three scores, and led all players with 64 yards rushing on 12 carries. He threw for 205 yards in the second half, including an 8-of-13, 163-yard, two-tou chdown fourth quarter that helped Vanderbilt overcome a 10-point deficit in the final 15 minutes - the program's biggest comeback win since Nov. 12, 2012. The result moved Vanderbilt to 3-0 for the second season in a row, the first time the program has a ccomplished the feat since 1946 and '47. - SEC Football
