10/05 IVY LEAGUE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Johnny Stephens, Dartmouth,...Stephens, a sophomore defensive back, led all players with 13 tackles, including eight solo stops, in the Big Green's 14-10 win over the University of Pennsylvania on Saturday, Oct. 3, in the Ivy League opener at Buddy Teevens Stadium at Memorial Field. He also recorded one tackle for loss. Stephens was in on five tackles during Penn's final drive, a 12-play possession that ended when the Big Green stopped the Quakers on fourth -and-3 at the Dartmouth 16 with 1:20 remaining. Dartmouth's defense also stopped Penn on fourth-and-3 at the Dartmouth 23 in the third quarter, and the Big Green held the Quakers to 10 points. He is the second Big Green player to earn a weekly award from the Ivy League in 2026, as Owen Zalc was named Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday, Sept. 21. - Ivy League Football
