Ahmad Hardy had a career-best 300 yards rushing and three touchdowns on 25 carries, and Toriano Pride Jr. had a 62-yard fumble return and pick-6 to help Missouri beat Mississippi State 49-27 on Saturday night. Missouri (7-3, 3-3 SEC) freshman Matt Zollers, making his second career start, was 8-of-15 passing for 112 yards and two touchdowns and threw an interception in his first career win. Blake Shapen completed 19 of 33 passes for 199 yards, threw a pair of interceptions and added a pair of rushing touchdowns for Mississippi State (5-6, 1-6), which needs a win over Mississippi on Nov. 29 to become bowl eligible for the first time since 2022. Hardy raced into the end zone from 43 yards out with 11:11 remaining in the fourth quarter to shatter his previous career-high of 250 rushing yards and give him his third career three touchdown game.

Pride returned an interception 19 yards for a touchdown to give Missouri its largest lead of the night at 35-17 with 4:39 to play in the third quarter. That play came a little more than a minute after Hardy, who scored on a 10-yard run late in the first half, raced to the end zone from 72 yards out. Trevion Williams stripped the ball from Hardy, and Malick Sylla recovered it near midfield with about a minute into the third quarter. Ten plays, Shapen scored his second rushing touchdown of the game from 3 yards out to cut Missouri's lead to 21-17. Mississippi State reached the Missouri 2 on a 16-play drive, but Ethan Myers' low snap on a 25-yard field-goal attempt ricocheted off holder Marlon Hauck's left knee. Pride recovered the fumble and returned it 62 yards to the Bulldogs' 23 yard line with 5:03 remaining in the second quarter. - Missouri/AP College Football

If Missouri drops in the rankings, it likely won't be far. The Tigers were every bit in the game for all four quarters. A close loss to a top-10 Alabama team could cause some movement, but it shouldn't set the Tigers back too far in the rankings. - AP College Football

Ahmad Hardy bounced his way for 138 yards rushing and a touchdown, Beau Pribula led No. 23 Missouri downfield for a go-ahead score in the fourth quarter and the Tigers beat South Carolina 29-20 on Saturday night. Pribula threw for 171 yards with a touchdown pass, and Jamal Roberts had a nifty touchdown jaunt of his own with 9:32 left to give the Tigers (4-0, 1-0 SEC) the lead, ultimately helping them to their 14th consecutive home win. LaNorris Sellers had 302 yards passing and two touchdowns for the Gamecocks (2-2, 0-2), but their star quarterback missed a couple of open receivers in the fourth quarter when the game was on the line. South Carolina twice went three-and-out down the stretch, giving the powerful Missouri ground game the chance to close out the win. The Tigers finished with 285 yards rushing. South Carolina had minus-9 on the ground.

Missouri rolled into the game amid a perfect start that included a win over rival Kansas, while the Gamecocks limped into town following a lopsided loss to Vanderbilt in which Sellers missed the second half after a hard blow to the head. South Carolina needed his magic. The Tigers struck first with a 99-yard drive - their third full-field march of the season - before Sellers answered with a 49-yard touchdown throw to Vandrevius Jacobs to give the Gamecocks a 7-6 lead. Sellers hit Brian Rowe Jr. with his second touchdown throw later in the half, and South Carolina led 14-12 at the break. Hardy carried the Tigers in the second half, bouncing off defenders like a pinball. The highlight may have been his TD run, when it looked as if he was stood up at the line of scrimmage, spun off the pile and scored to give Missouri an 18-16 lead. But it always felt as if the game was destined to be decided in the fourth quarter, just like last November, when Sellers capped a 353-yard, five-touchdown performance by rallying the Gamecocks for a 34-30 win in the Palmetto State. - Missouri/AP College Football

Ahmad Hardy rushed for 250 yards and three touchdowns, and No. 25 Missouri pounded Louisiana-Lafayette 52-10 on Saturday. The Tigers (3-0) finished with 427 yards rushing on 62 carries. Marquise Davis had 113 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Missouri quarterback Beau Pribula was 15-for-22 passing for 174 yards and two TDs. He also rushed for a 14-yard TD.

The Ragin' Cajuns (1-2) finished with just 121 yards on offense, compared to 606 for the Tigers. Louisiana-Lafayette quarterbacks Daniel Beale and Lunch Winfield combined to go 2-of-14 passing for 4 yards. Hardy, who transferred to Missouri from Louisiana-Monroe in the offseason, posted a career high in rushing yards and broke the 200-yard barrier for the third time in his college career. Missouri pulled most of its starters in the third quarter after building a 45-10 lead. - Missouri/AP College Football
