  11/22/25 - QB Dante MoorerSo/2028, Oregon, 6-3, 206 (DS#1 QB) + More +

Dante Moore threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns as No. 6 Oregon likely dashed No. 16 Southern California's hopes of making the College Football Playoff with a 42-27 victory Saturday. Kenyon Sadiq had six catches for 72 yards and two scores, and Noah Whittington ran for 104 yards and another touchdown for the Ducks (10-1, 7-1 Big Ten, No. 7 CFP), who improved their chances of not only making the playoff but also hosting a game. Jayden Maiava threw for 306 yards and three touchdowns, including a pair to Makai Lemon, who also threw a touchdown pass for USC (8-3, 6-2, No. 15 CFP). USC hasn't won in Eugene since 2011 and the Trojans have lost four straight to the Ducks overall. Once again, the Trojans fell short on the road against a ranked opponent, with previous losses this season to Illinois and Notre Dame. USC scored on the first series of the game on Maiava's 8-yard pass to Lemon, who sprinted just inside the pylon for the touchdown. Lemon was ranked second in the nation with an average of 109 yards receiving per game coming in. The Ducks answered on the next drive with freshman Jordon Davison's 11-yard touchdown run, then extended the lead on Sadiq's 8-yard TD catch deep in the end zone.

USC tied it at 14 early in the second quarter when Maiava tossed the ball to Lemon, who hurled it downfield to Tanook Hines for a 24-yard touchdown. Lemon became the first Trojans receiver to throw a TD pass since Tyler Vaughns against Arizona State in 2018. Malik Benson ran 85 yards to score on a punt return to put Oregon back in front. Late in the first half, Atticus Sappington's 44-yard field-goal attempt for Oregon hit the goal post, but USC was flagged for a penalty on the play. The Ducks were given a first down, which led to Bryce Boettcher's 1-yard touchdown dive that put Oregon in front 28-14 at the break. The Trojans closed the gap midway through the third quarter on Maiava's 4-yard scoring pass to Lemon. But before the period was over, Moore connected with Sadiq again on a 28-yard touchdown. The Trojans, aided by a pair of back-to-back pass interference calls against the Ducks, got within 35-27 on Maiava's 9-yard touchdown pass to Lake McRee, but the 2-point conversion try failed. Oregon came back on the next drive with Whittington's 9-yard dash into the end zone that sealed it. - Oregon/AP College Football

Dante Moore threw for two touchdowns and freshman Jordon Davison ran for another pair to lead No. 7 Oregon to a 42-13 victory over Minnesota on Friday night. Moore was 27 of 30 for 306 yards for the Ducks (9-1, 6-1 Big Ten, No. 8 CFP). Davison ran for 57 yards on seven carries. Kenyon Sadiq caught eight passes for 96 yards and another score. Minnesota (6-4, 4-3) remained winless on the road this season. The Golden Gophers managed just 62 yards rushing against the Ducks, who went into the game ranked third in the nation in total defense. Oregon scored on its first series of the game. Moore completed a 23-yard pass to Sadiq to get the Ducks close, then they capped the drive with Davison's 1-yard touchdown run.

Sadiq returned after missing last weekend's 18-16 victory at Iowa, but Oregon was still without freshman receiver Dakorien Moore because of a knee injury. Oregon was also missing receiver Gary Bryant Jr., who injured his foot during the first quarter last weekend. The Ducks made it 14-0 on Davison's 39-yard touchdown run before Brady Denaburg's 46-yard field goal got Minnesota on the scoreboard early in the second quarter. Noah Whittington broke through a pile of of players then bobbled the ball in the end zone after a 40-yard dash, but it was ruled a touchdown after a review and Oregon went up 21-3. After Denaburg added a 26-yard field goal for the Gophers, Dante Moore hit Sadiq with a short 3-yard pass to put the Ducks up 28-6 at halftime. The Gophers scored on their first drive of the second half on Drake Lindsey's 10-yard scoring pass to Javon Tracy. Lindsey finished with 138 yards passing. Moore threw a 13-yard pass to Jeremiah McClellan, who was ruled on review to have a toe inbounds for the touchdown, to make it 35-13. The Ducks added another score on Jay Harris' 12-yard run early in the fourth quarter. Minnesota was coming off a bye. The Gophers' last outing was a 23-20 overtime win at home over Michigan State that made them bowl eligible. - Oregon/AP College Football

Dante Moore passed for 290 yards and four touchdowns and No. 8 Oregon followed its first loss of the season with a 56-10 romp over Rutgers on Saturday night in the first meeting between the schools. A week after falling 30-20 to Indiana at home, Oregon (6-1, 3-1 Big Ten) extended the nation's longest road winning streak to 10 games. Noah Whittington ran for 125 yards and two TDs and the Ducks piled up 750 total yards - 415 rushing and 335 passing - for the most yards against a Power 4 school this season. The Scarlet Knights (3-4, 0-4) have not beaten a ranked team in 16 years, the longest active streak in college football. They managed just 202 total yards with quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis was constantly under pressure. He was 8 of 25 for 79 yards, threw two interceptions and was sacked three times. Oregon had eight plays of 30 yards or longer. - Oregon/AP College Football

Oregon moved up to No. 2 in The Associated Press college football poll on Sunday, Mississippi earned its highest ranking since 2015, Alabama jumped back into the top 10 and Virginia was in the Top 25 for the first time in six years in the wake of a volatile weekend in which four top-10 teams lost. Ohio State won at Washington and remains No. 1 for the fifth straight week. The Buckeyes received 46 first-place votes, six fewer than a week ago, and their 37-point lead over Oregon is the closest margin between the top two teams since the preseason poll in mid-August.

Oregon's two-overtime win at Penn State earned the Ducks 16 first-place votes, 15 more than last week, and gave them their highest ranking since they were No. 1 for two months last year. Miami, which had an open date, slipped one spot to No. 3 and was followed by Mississippi and idle Oklahoma. The No. 4 Rebels got a nine-rung promotion for beating LSU and have their highest ranking since they were No. 3 in late September 2015. LSU fell to No. 13, swapping places with Mississippi. Texas A&M, Penn State, Indiana, Texas and Alabama round out the top 10. - AP College Football

Dante Moore threw for 305 yards and a career-high four touchdowns, and No. 6 Oregon rolled to a 41-7 victory over former Pac-12 foe Oregon State on Saturday before the rivalry goes on a break next season. Moore was 21-of-31 passing and spread his scoring strikes to four different receivers for the Ducks (4-0, 1-0 Big Ten), who had 585 yards in total offense. Anthony Hankerson ran for 38 yards on 14 carries and the lone touchdown for the 0-4 Beavers. The rivalry between the two Oregon schools started in 1894, but next year it will go on hiatus because of scheduling issues. It is likely to resume in 2027. Before conference realignment collapsed the Pac-12, the rivalry was the final game of the regular season and it often had bowl implications.

Last year Oregon played its first season in the Big Ten, winning the conference's championship game. Oregon State and Washington State, the lone two teams left in the Pac-12, have spearheaded the league's revival. Next year they'll be joined by new members Texas State, Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, San Diego State and Utah State. Gonzaga joins as a non-football member. Oregon freshman Dakorien Moore scored on the Ducks' first drive of the game with a 22-yard touchdown reception. For a winless team, the Beavers were surprisingly resilient early and tied the game at 7 on Hankerson's 1-yard touchdown run late in the first quarter. Oregon went back in front on Moore's 23-yard scoring pass to Sadiq Kenyon and Jordon Davison added a 3-yard TD dash to make it 21-7 at halftime. After the break, Moore found Jeremiah McClellan with a 13-yard touchdown and Atticus Sappington kicked a 24-yard field goal. Gary Bryant Jr. caught a 49-yard touchdown from Moore and Sappington added a 28-yarder to seal it in the fourth. - Oregon/AP College Football

Dante Moore threw for 178 yards and a touchdown and No. 4 Oregon opened Big Ten play with a 34-14 win at Northwestern on Saturday. Dierre Hill Jr. added a 66-yard scoring run and Jayden Limar and Jordon Davison had rushing touchdowns to help the Ducks (3-0, 1-0 Big Ten) win their road opener. The Wildcats (1-2, 0-1) forced an Oregon punt on the game's first drive but didn't have much of an answer the rest of the game. The Ducks led 17-0 at the half after scoring on their next three possessions to improve to 11-0 against conference foes since joining the Big Ten last season.

Oregon took advantage of the game's first turnover - Bryce Boettcher's interception of a deflected pass in the first quarter - into the first touchdown a few plays later when Limar ran in from a yard After a field goal, Moore connected with Kenyon Sadiq for a 24-yard touchdown just before the half. Hill's long run midway through the third quarter - on Oregon's first play of the second half - and a short touchdown run by Davison later in the period turned the game into a rout. Atticus Sappington added a pair of field goals. Preston Stone was 11 for 21 for 135 yards with two interceptions for Northwestern. Caleb Komolafe (53 yards) had a 1-yard touchdown midway through the fourth quarter to avert a shutout and Dashun Reeder added a 79-yard run on his lone carry in the final two minutes. Moore was 16 for 20 and was intercepted for the first time this season during the fourth quarter. - Oregon/AP College Football

Oregon coach Dan Lanning suggested that comments Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy made this week about the financial disparities between the two teams contributed to the Ducks' 69-3 rout of the Cowboys on Saturday. "I told our team right before the game that, it never requires extra motivation for an opportunity to go out and kick ass, but it never hurts when somebody pours gasoline on the fire," Lanning said. Earlier in the week, Gundy talked about Oregon's apparent NIL resources, saying the Cowboys spent "around $7 million" on their team over three years while claiming the Ducks had spent close to $40 million last year alone - while admitting that he might be off a few million. "Oregon is paying a lot, a lot of money for their team," he said. "From a nonconference standpoint, there's coaches saying they should play teams that are spending the same amount of money." Lanning responded in his Monday news conference.

"Ultimately, how blessed are we to be in a place that's invested in winning? If you want to be a Top 10 team in college football, you better be invested in winning. And we spend to win. Some people save to have an excuse for why they don't, right?" Lanning said. For his part, Gundy said Saturday after the most-lopsided loss of his Oklahoma State career he meant no offense. "There's nothing wrong with saying that teams you're playing are good teams," Gundy said. "When I made that comment, I was complimenting Oregon for what they've done. The second thing is, which I said later in the week, we've made commitments also, all right." - AP College Football

Dante Moore threw for 266 yards and three touchdowns, freshman Dakorien Moore ran for a score and caught a touchdown pass, and No. 6 Oregon routed Oklahoma State 69-3 on Saturday. The loss was the biggest loss for the Cowboys (1-1) in Mike Gundy's 20-year tenure as coach. Nine players scored for Oregon (2-0), which had 631 yards in total offense. The Ducks had two interception returns for touchdowns in the third quarter. On Oregon's second play of the game, Noah Whittington took off for a 59-yard TD run to give the Ducks a 7-0 lead. It was the longest run of his career. Dakorien Moore caught a deep 65-yard pass from Dante Moore on the Ducks' second drive. Dierre Hill Jr. added a 19-yard touchdown run before Logan Ward kicked a 23-yard field goal for the Cowboys' only points.

Dante Moore hit Malik Benson with a 42-yard pass, Dakorien Moore rushed 25 yards for another score, and Jayden Limar added a 5-yard TD run to make it 41-3 at halftime. Gary Bryant Jr. caught an 11 yard touchdown pass and Jordon Davison ran a yard for another score to put the Ducks up 55-3. Oregon had back-to-back interception returns for touchdowns in the third quarter: Jerry Mixon scored on a 26-yard return and Peyton Woodyard scored on a 30-yard return. Oklahoma State starting quarterback Hauss Hejny broke a bone in his foot in the team's opener, so Zane Flores, a third-year freshman, made his first career start against Oregon. Flores finished 7 of 19 for 67 yards and two interceptions. - Oregon/AP College Football

Dante Moore started at quarterback for No. 7 Oregon and threw for 213 yards with three touchdowns, and the Ducks routed FCS power Montana State 59-13 in the opener for both teams Saturday. It was widely assumed that Moore - Dillon Gabriel's understudy last season - would be the Ducks' quarterback this season but coach Dan Lanning did not publicly name a starter before the first game. True freshman Jordan Davison rushed for 26 yards and three touchdowns and Malik Benson caught five passes for 51 yards and a score for the defending Big Ten champion Ducks, who built a 38-3 lead by halftime.

Justin Lamson, who spent the last two seasons at Stanford, threw for 198 yards for Montana State. The defending Big Sky champion Bobcats are trying to replace star quarterback Tommy Mellott after falling to North Dakota State last season in the FCS title game. Myles Sansted kicked a pair of 42-yard field goals and Adam Jones ran for a fourth-quarter touchdown for the Bobcats. Oregon went ahead quickly, scoring just 63 seconds into the game on Jayden Limar's 16-yard run down the left edge. Kenyon Sadiq pushed past a defender on a 20-yard pass from Moore and scored to make it 14-0. Atticus Sappington added a 23-yard field goal in the opening quarter and the rout was on. Davison rushed for a touchdown from 2 yards out in the second quarter, then added an 8-yard scoring dash in the third before capping his day with a 1-yard TD in the fourth. - Oregon/AP College Football
