  Joshua Woods threw touchdown passes to four different receivers on Saturday to help Idaho beat Portland State 45-6 and extend the Vikings' season-opening losing streak to eight games. Elisha Cummings had 65 yards rushing and a touchdown on eight carries and added four receptions for 100 yards for Idaho (3-5, 1-3 Big Sky Conference). Mathias Uribe kicked a 27-yard field goal that capped a 15-play, 60-yard drive and made it 3-0 with 3:55 left in the first quarter. Two plays from scrimmage later, Cummings caught a short pass and broke several tackles as he worked his was across the field on his way to the end zone for a 64-yard touchdown that gave the Vandals the lead for good.

Wood hit Noah West-Baranco for a 48-yard touchdown, after Uribe made a 40-yard field goal, threw TD passes of 24 yards to Marquawn McCraney and 6 yards to Emmerson Cortez-Menjivar to make it 28-6 at halftime. Back-up quarterback Rocco Koch came in on third-and-1 and, after a run fake, lofted a pass to a wide-open Jake Cox who raced untouched for a 42-yard touchdown about two minutes into the second half and Cummings ran for a 13-yard touchdown with 6:50 left in the third quarter. - AP College Football

  WEEK 2 BIG SKY CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Joshua Wood, Idaho (QB, R-So., Graham, Wash.),...Joshua Wood threw for a career-high 281 yards and three touchdowns, in addition to rushing for 96 yards and a game-sealing 59-yard touchdown rush. The Vandal quarterback threw an interception on his first play of the game, but rebounded with 377 total yards and four touchdowns as Idaho put up 37 points in its home opening win over St. Thomas. - Big Sky Football

  Running back Art Williams rushed for 146 yards on 16 carries and quarterback Joshua Wood rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on 11 attempts in Idaho's 20-6 win over Utah Tech on Saturday afternoon. Wood was 14-for-25 with 119 yards and a touchdown as a passer, and put the finishing touches on the victory with an 18-yard touchdown run with 6:27 remaining. Bronson Barben led Utah Tech, going 12-for-20 with 111 yards. Utah Tech's highlights came from placekicker Ilya Uvaydov.

They stole a field goal at the end of the first half. With 17 seconds remaining, backup quarterback Reggie Graff had a 23-yard run. He completed a 15-yard pass play to Asa Chatman, leaving two seconds on the clock. Uvaydov converted a career-long 55-yard field goal that had to be confirmed by replay after officials initially called the kick no good. Uvaydov also kicked a 53-yard field goal in the third quarter. Utah Tech dropped to 0-3 and will begin its United Athletic Conference slate on September 27 at Austin Peay. Idaho, ranked No. 10 in the FCS coaches poll, moved to 2-1 and will face San Jose State next week before beginning its Big Sky slate. - AP College Football

  Joshua Wood threw three touchdown passes before running for a 59-yard score late in the fourth quarter to help Idaho beat St. Thomas-Minnesota 37-30 on Saturday. Wood hit Jake Cox for a 4-yard score with 3:03 left in the second quarter and then connected with Tony Harste for a 21-yard touchdown with 16 seconds left as Idaho (1-1) turned a three-point deficit into a 23-13 lead at halftime.

Wood fired a 42-yard scoring strike to Ryan Jezioro 8 seconds into the fourth quarter to put the Vandals up 29-16. Wood's long TD run came with 2:19 remaining after St. Thomas (1-1) had pulled within 29-23. Wood completed 20 of 25 passes for 281 yards and rushed five times for 96 yards. Rocco Koch had a short touchdown run. Andy Peters totaled 264 yards on 21-of-29 passing with three touchdowns for the Tommies. He also rushed for 94 yards on 11 carries. Mariano Birdno, Patrick Wagner and Quentin Cobb-Butler each had a touchdown catch, and Pat Bowen had a 38-yard touchdown run. - AP College Football
