2025 IVY LEAGUE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR (ASA S. BUSHNELL CUP RECIPIENT): Abu Kamara, Yale (Jr., DB),...Yale Bulldog Abu Kamara was a unanimous selection for the Asa S. Bushnell Cup as Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year. The honor is the first m ajor award of Kamara's career following an AP Honorable Mention All-America season and recognition as a Buck Buchanan Award finalist a year ago. NOV 17 IVY LEAGUE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Abu Kamara, Yale,...Yale junior nickel linebacker Abu Kamara has been named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday, Nov. 17. In the Bulldogs' 13-10 victory ove r Princeton, Kamara made 10 combined tackles, recorded a sack and recovered a crucial fumble midway through the third quarter to preserve Yale's lead at the time. Kamara is one of the Ivy League's best tacklers, currently sitting third on the team with 5 9 total this season to go along with two interceptions, 3.5 sacks, a forced fumble, three fumble recoveries and a blocked kick, among other accolades. - Ivy League Football

Josh Pitsenberger rushed for three touchdowns, Abu Kamara had a pair of interceptions including a pick-6 and Yale defeated Cornell 41-24 in an Ivy League opener on Saturday. Pitsenberger's 4-yard run with two minutes left gave Yale a 10-point cushion bef ore Kumara's 66-yard score. Yale picked off four passes though the Bulldogs also had three turnovers.Pitsenberger rushed for 142 yards on 28 carries though he lost two fumbles. He has six touchdowns this season for the Bulldogs (2-0, 1-0). Dante R eno passed for 139 yards with a TD and an interception. The game was tied at 14 by halftime before the Bulldogs scored 27 points in the second half including two field goals by Noah Piper, including a 50-yarder, and Reno's 20-yard TD pass to Jaxton Santi ago for a 27-14 lead midway through the third quarter. Devin Page was 24-of-51 passing with two touchdowns and he ran for another but he also had the four interceptions for the Big Red (0-2, 0-1).
