WEEK 10 BIG 12 CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Noah Fifita, QB, Arizona,...Quarterbacking Arizona to a big day on offense in its 52-17 victory at Colorado, Fifita threw for 213 yards and four touchdowns on just 19 pass attempts. Two of his four touchdown passes were completions of 57 yards and 60 yards as he did not throw an interception for the second straight game. Fifita became the sixth FBS quarterback this season to throw four touchdowns in three different games. - Big 12 Football

  11/15/25 - QB Noah FifitarJr/2027, Arizona, 5-10, 195 (DS#16 QB) + More +

Noah Fifita passed for 294 yards and a touchdown to become Arizona's all-time leader in TD passes as the Wildcats beat No. 22 Cincinnati 30-24 on Saturday in the first game between the teams. Fifita was 23 for 31 passing and his scoring pass in the fourth quarter was his 68th career TD pass, surpassing the marks of Nick Foles and Willie Tuitama. Kris Hutson had eight catches for 123 yards for Arizona (7-3, 4-3 Big 12), his fourth career 100-yard receiving game. Cincinnati, coming off a bye week following a 45-14 loss at No. 14 Utah, got within three points on Zion Johnson's TD run with 6:38 left. Arizona kicker Michael Salgado-Medina, who missed a field goal try and had another attempt blocked in the first half, connected from 50 yards to extend the Wildcats' lead to 30-24 with 1:34 left. The Wildcats' defense made a big play on the first play from scrimmage.

Brendan Sorsby's pass was deflected and intercepted by Jay'Vion Cole at the Bearcats' 26. Two plays later, Ismail Mahdi's 27-yard touchdown run put the Wildcats ahead 7-0 just 57 seconds in. Sorsby, who came in averaging 230 passing yards per game, was 15 for 28 passing for 154 yards against Arizona. The Bearcats (7-3, 5-2) rushed for 140 yards in the first quarter, led by Tawee Walker who had 104 yards on his first four carries, including a 54-yard run. It's Walker's first 100-yard rushing game since Oct. 19, 2024. Sorsby threw a touchdown pass to Jeff Caldwell and ran for another score to help the Bearcats take a 14-10 lead into halftime. Cincinnati rushed for only 50 yards after the opening quarter. A 50-yard touchdown run by Kedrick Reescano put Arizona ahead 20-14 in the third quarter. It was the second TD run of more than 50 yards in his career. Fifita's 15-yard TD pass to Gio Richardson with 10:53 left in the fourth quarter capped a nine-play, 75-yard drive and gave the Wildcats a 27-17. - Arizona/AP College Football

  11/01/25 - QB Noah FifitarJr/2027, Arizona, 5-10, 195 (DS#16 QB) + More +

Noah Fifita threw four first-half touchdown passes and the Arizona Wildcats forced five turnovers in rebounding from two closes losses with a 52-17 rout of the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday night. "This is a huge win coming off two heartbreaking losses," said coach Brent Brennan, whose Wildcats had lost in double-overtime to BYU and by a field goal at Houston. "We're gonna enjoy the plane ride home." The Wildcats (5-3, 2/3 Big 12) raced to a 38-7 halftime lead by scoring on six of their first seven drives, and the Buffaloes (3-6, 1-5) trudged into the locker room with more penalties (nine) than points. For the first time in his three-year tenure in Boulder, Colorado, coach Deion "Prime" Sanders didn't allow any of his players to talk post-game. He said that was because he was solely to blame for the bedraggled Buffs' second straight blowout loss. "Don't attack the coordinators. Come at me. Don't attack the players. Come at me," Sanders said.

Sanders had no answers as to why the Buffs played so poorly again, insisting good practices had given no inkling another rout was forthcoming. He bristled when asked if his team had checked out: "I know a quitter when I see one. I haven't seen that." Sanders added that he's confident he can coach Colorado back into winning ways, saying, "I don't doubt me. Let's get that straight: I. Don't. Doubt. Me." Buffaloes QB Kaidon Salter was benched late in the first half for Ryan Staub, who was also benched after both of his passes were intercepted in the third quarter. Freshman Ju-Ju Lewis came on and threw a 59-yard touchdown strike - the first of his career - to Omarion Miller. The pass also was 10 yards longer than the 49 yards passing that Salter managed while completing 11 of 15. Lewis left the game in the final minute with an injury to his throwing hand. Colorado's two most damaging first-half flags wiped out a 75-yard touchdown catch and an interception. - Arizona/AP College Football

Noah Fifita threw for 373 yards and five touchdowns in less than three quarters, Javin Whatley caught two touchdowns and Arizona rolled to a weather-delayed 48-3 win over Weber State on Saturday night. Lightning led to a delay of more than two hours, but it did little to slow down Arizona (2-0) against the FCS Wildcats (0-2). Arizona raced out to a 24-0 first-quarter lead, pushed it to 34-0 by halftime and racked up 556 total yards. Its defense had a second straight dominating game, holding Weber State to 184 total yards while forcing two turnovers, including a 27-yard interception return for a touchdown by Jay'Vion Cole. "Staying mission focused, that was the main thing for us in the locker room," Arizona linebacker Max Harris said of the delay. "Adversity's going to hit, it's going to come in different ways and just stay mission focused." Offensive coordinator Seth Doege wanted Arizona to sharpen up its passing game after last week's 40-6 win over Hawaii and Fifita responded with a highly-efficient performance. The third-year starter completed his first 14 passes and finished 17 for 22 after throwing for 161 yards on 13-of-23 passing last week. He connected with Whatley five times for 168 yards. Fifita hit Whatley on a 31-yard TD pass on Arizona's opening drive and found him again on its next play from scrimmage for an 85-yard score. Fifita connected with Tre Spivey on a 10-yard touchdown late in the first quarter and added a 13-yard scoring pass to Brandon Phelps in the second. Arizona didn't let up until late. Ismail Mahdi opened the second half by turning a third-and-22 screen pass into a 27-yard touchdown and Cole's pick-6 made it 48-0. - Arizona/AP College Football

  08/31/25 - QB Noah FifitarJr/2027, Arizona, 5-10, 195 (DS#16 QB) + More +

Noah Fifita threw for a touchdown and ran for another score, Arizona's defense forced five turnovers and the Wildcats rolled to a 40-6 win over Hawaii on Saturday night. It was an impressive opener for second-year coach Brent Brennan and the Wildcats, who are trying to bounce back from a disappointing 4-8 season in 2024. Arizona's defense had 10 tackles for a loss, including five sacks, snagged three interceptions and recovered two fumbles. Quincy Craig had 125 yards rushing and a touchdown on just seven carries. Fifita connected on a 5-yard touchdown pass to Sam Olson early in the third quarter, pushing Arizona up 24-6 and giving them a comfortable advantage for the rest of the night. Fifita - a redshirt junior - is now the sixth-leading passer in Wildcats history with 6,126 career yards.

Hawaii freshman quarterback Micah Alejado threw for 157 yards and an interception before leaving the game in the third quarter with a right ankle injury. He battled a similar injury in last week's win over Stanford. Arizona (1-0) jumped ahead 7-0 on its first offensive drive, starting with excellent field position after Jeremiah Patterson returned a punt 41 yards to Hawaii's 47. Four plays later, Kedrick Reescano ran 13 yards for a touchdown, slicing right through the middle of the Rainbow Warriors' line. The Wildcats exposed the middle of Hawaii's defense again in the second quarter when Craig took a handoff and sprinted 54 yards for a touchdown and a 14-3 lead. Hawaii (1-1) was one of the few teams in the country playing its second game of the season this weekend. The Rainbow Warriors beat Stanford 23-20 last week for their first win against an ACC opponent. - Arizona/AP College Football
