Missouri quarterback Beau Pribula dislocated his left ankle and will have an MRI exam Sunday, coach Eli Drinkwitz said Saturday after the 15th-ranked Tigers' 17-10 loss to No. 10 Vanderbilt. Drinkwitz said Pribula didn't have any broken bones but needed his ankle popped back into joint. "Don't have a timetable for his return, but it could be a while," Drinkwitz said. Pribula was hurt early in the third quarter running out of the shotgun on fourth-and-goal at the Vanderbilt 2. Miles Capers and Bryan Long well stopped Pribula after a 1-yard gain with 11:15 left in the third quarter of a 3-3 game. One defender landed on Pribula's ankle as he was folded backward from defenders coming the other direction. The quarterback didn't get up, and trainers qui ckly brought a bag out and placed an air cast over his left ankle. Then he was put on a cart and taken for further treatment. The Tigers turned to freshman Matt Zollers. He came in having completed all six of his pass attempts for 40 yards with one touch down. He also has a rushing touchdown. Zollers gave Missouri a chance until time expired, throwing a 6-yard TD pass to Jude James tying it up at 10 early in the fourth quarter. Zoller moved the Tigers down the field and connected with Kevin Coleman Jr. f or a 36-yard pass as time expired only to have the receiver ruled on review short of the goal line. The freshman finished 14 of 23 for 138 yards passing. - AP College Football

No. 16 Missouri may have delivered the knockout blow to Auburn coach Hugh Freeze. Beau Pribula scored on a 3-yard run in the second overtime, lifting Missouri to a 23-17 victory over reeling Auburn on Saturday night. Ahmad Hardy ran for 58 yards and two scores for Missouri (6-1, 2-1 Southeastern Conference). The Tigers bounced back from a home loss to Alabama to beat the other team from the state. "We talked all week about how the game was played between the lines, not to let the exterior factors of the noise and the stadium affect us," Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz said. "The guys did a great job, and I just thought there was a refusal to lose."Missouri got a defensive stop on fourth down on the final possession in overtime to seal the one-posse ssion victory. "This just sucks," Freeze said. "This stinks, and there's nothing you can say to make anyone feel better in that locker room. Our fans are incredible, and we'd love to be at Toomer's (Corner) with them right now. But we're still obviously not finding ways to win games." Auburn has dropped 11 of its last 13 SEC games, and Freeze is 5-15 in league play. Pribula threw for 252 yards, with two interceptions, and ran for 28 more. Hardy's short run with 5:07 to go in regulation tied the game at 17. Auburn (3-4, 0-4) intercepted Pribula's pass in the final drive of regulation to send it to overtime, but Alex McPherson missed a field goal on Auburn's first possession. It was his third miss of the night. Blake Craig missed a winning attempt on the other end for Missouri. Auburn opened the scoring with Jackson Arnold scoring from a yard out. But coach Hugh Freeze's team - like so many other times in his three seasons - had trouble moving the ball for most of the game. Arnold finished with 207 yard s passing and his first interception of the season. Freeze, however, has hopeful they can turn it around. "If you look at this stretch of games, they were all really good teams," Freeze said. "And we were really close. Eventually they'll start to flip ou r way." Jeremiah Cobb had 111 yards on the ground. Cam Coleman caught six passes for 108 yards. - Missouri/AP College Football

Beau Pribula completed a Missouri-record 21 straight passes, Ahmad Hardy ran for 130 yards and three touchdowns and the No. 20 Tigers beat UMass 42-6 on Saturday night to improve to 5-0. Hardy sparked the Tigers' opening drive, gaining 41 yards on four c arries before limping off the field after a tackle. While Hardy headed to the medical tent, Jamal Roberts finished off the drive with a 9-yard touchdown run. UMass (0-4) capitalized on a mistake by Pribula when linebacker Timmy Hinspeter returned an inte rception 63 yards to the 21. Six plays later, AJ Hairston threw a 2-yard scoring pass to Max Dowling. Defensive tackle Sterling Webb blocked the extra point to keep it 7-6 lead. After that, it was all Tigers.Pribula played virtually flawless after the interception, completing the 21 consecutive passes to break the school record of 20 set by Chase Daniel in 2008. Pribula finished 26 of 29 for 241 yards and a touchdown. Kevin Coleman Jr. led the Tigers in receiving with 12 catches for 108 yards. Ha rdy entered the weekend as the No. 2 rusher in FBS. Beau Pribula threw for 334 yards and three touchdowns, Jamal Roberts ran for 143 yards and the clinching score, and Missouri rallied to beat Kansas 42-31 on Saturday in the first edition of the Border War in more than a decade. Kevin Coleman Jr. had 10 c atches for 126 yards and a touchdown, and Brett Norfleet's second TD grab gave the Tigers (2-0) the lead with 4:14 to go, before their defense stopped Jalon Daniels and Co. and allowed Missouri to put the game away. The series, which began in 1891 and re mains among the most-played in Division I football, had been on hiatus since 2011, when Missouri left the Big 12 for the SEC. That move only added another layer of animosity to a rivalry between states that traces its history to the Civil War, and the bl oody conflict between slave states and free states.Daniels did his best to lead the Jayhawks (2-1) to victory. He threw for 223 yards and two touchdowns, including one to DeShawn Hanika that gave them a 31-24 lead with 8:45 remaining - a lead that the Kansas defense was unable to hold. Missouri dealt the first blow on Ahmad Hardy's 32-yard run. But the Jayhawks countered with a long TD drive, then returned a fumble 28 yards for another score. Moments later, Daniels silenced sold-out Faurot Field with a sneak for a 21-6 lead. The Tigers recovered from that quick blitz in the second quarter, though. They allowed Kansas to run just four plays for minus-18 yards, and Pribula's touchdown pass to Coleman - coupled with a safety and two field goals - r esulted in a tied score. Kansas became the first FBS team in a decade to get outgained by 200-plus yards and not trail at the break. - Missouri/AP College Football
