SEPT 5 BIG SOUTH FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: Gardner-Webb running back Janiero Crankfield ran for a career-high 89 yards and three touchdowns on just nine carries to help GWU tie a school-record with eight rushing touchdowns in a 56-21 season-opening win over Limestone. His second TD of the game put Gardner-Webb up 35-7 in the second quarter, while his final run - a 21-yard sprint - gave the home team a 56-14 lead. Crankfield also had one reception for 12 yards, plus 33 return yards for 134 all-purpose yards on the evening.
