WEEK 8 SUN BELT DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Treylin Payne, Texas State, (Sr., LB – San Antonio, Texas),...Bobcats senior linebacker Treylin Payne tallied a single-game program record 24 tackles in Texas State's 40-37 double-overtime loss to Marshall. The San Antonio, Texas, native's tackle tally snapped a 37-year-old Bobcat record—23 tackles by Brad Fulks against Texas A&M Kingsville in 1988. Payne's mark also tied for the second-most in Sun Belt Conference history, trailing only a 25 tackle perfo rmance by Arkansas State's Tyrell Johnson against North Texas in 2005. Payne also added 1.5 tackles for loss in the cross-division clash. - Sun Belt football
