WEEK 2 BIG 12 CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jaden Nixon, RB, UCF...With 156 rushing yards on just four carries with two touchdowns against North Carolina A&T, Nixon made UCF history throughout Saturday's game. His 87-yard touchdown run was the third l ongest play from scrimmage in program history after returning the opening kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown. UCF's Jaden Nixon opened the game with a 92-yard touchdown return and added touchdown runs of 87 and 66 yards as UCF never looked back in a dominant 68-7 victory over North Carolina A&T. Nixon ran for 156 yards on four carries and two touchdowns. His 87- yard touchdown run was the third-longest in UCF's history. The Knights also fell five points short of setting the program record for points scored in a game.The Knights (2-0) took that opening kickoff and kept on running, steamrolling the Aggies e ven when many of the team's reserves came into the game. Backup quarterback Jacurri Brown took over in the second half and rushed for 106 yards on five carries, including a 60-yard touchdown run. The Knights' defense stepped up, too, recording two sacks and forcing three turnovers. That included a strip sack by defensive lineman Nyjalik Kelly that was recovered in the endzone by Rodney Lora. OCT 3 BIG 12 SPECIAL TEAMS & CO-NEWCOMER PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jaden Nixon, OSU, RB, Fr.,...Nixon returned the opening kickoff of the second half 98 yards for a touchdown in the Cowboys' 36-25 win at Baylor. It marked the longest return of his career, OSU' s longest return of the season and the first OSU kickoff return touchdown since Brennan Presley's 100-yard return in last year's win over Oklahoma. Nixon's return also tied for the eighth-longest kickoff return in Cowboy history and marked the longest ki ckoff return for any Big 12 player this season.
