Tuesday was reporting day for summer football workouts at South Alabama, and the Jaguars added seven Division I transfers. Among the newcomers is defensive end Nathan Rawlins-Kibonge, an Oklahoma transfer with four seasons of eligibility remaining. Rawli ns-Kibonge, originally from Portland, Ore., was rated a four-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class. The 6-foot-6, 256-pound Rawlins-Kibonge did not see any game action at Oklahoma last season before entering the NCAA transfer portal at the end of Ap ril. He was a two-sport star at Jefferson High School in Portland, where he also excelled in basketball.Also officially joining the Jaguars, but not previously announced publicly, are offensive tackle PJ Mixon (Jacksonville State) and kicker Jacob Meeks (Texas Tech). Mixon, originally from Montgomery, and Meeks both have one season of eligibility remaining. Rawlins-Kibonge, Mixon and Meeks join a group that also includes running backs Omni Wells (Mississippi State) and Marco Lee (Virginia Tech), offensive guard James Robinson (Tennessee) and safety Marvin Martin (Kansas State). All are expected to enroll in summer school classes and begin practice when the Jaguars open fall camp in early August. - Birmingham News
