2022 ASUN CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: David Walker, Central Arkansas,...Walker was a force on the defensive line for the Bears, leading the ASUN and ranking second in the FCS for sacks with 12 for a total loss of 83 yards and tackles for-los s with 22 (loss of 107 yards). He finished the season with 66 total tackles including 36 solo stops while reaching a season-high nine tackles in three contests. Walker had at least one TFL in 10 of 11 games headlined by a season-best four TFLs against Mi ssouri State and a UCA school record matching 3.5 sack effort in a road victory at Stephen F. Austin. Against ASUN foes, his top performances included 3.5 TFLs against UNA and 3.0 TFLs versus JSU.
