Malachi Imoh ran for 93 yards on 10 carries and his 49-yard scoring run in the third quarter helped send William & Mary past Hampton 20-14 on Saturday. Imoh took the handoff from quarterback Darius Wilson, ran left, broke a tackle at the line, bounced ba ck to the right, shed two tacklers in the secondary and went untouched from there to give the Tribe (8-1, 5-1 Colonial Athletic Conference) a 17-14 lead with 22 seconds left in the third. Just three plays prior, Darran Butts posted a 29-yard scoring run for the Pirates (4-5, 1-5) to give Hampton a 14-10 advantage with 58 seconds left in the third. Donavyn Lester, who ran for 80 yards on 10 carries, had a 44-yard run on William & Mary's drive following its touchdown to set up Ethan Chang's 35-yard field goal for the game's final score. Bronson Yoder led William & Mary with 115 yards rushing on 16 carries and scored a touchdown. Butts led the Pirates with 79 yards on 15 carries. - AP College Football

Malachi Imoh rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns, and William & Mary scored 24 unanswered points in a 27-10 victory over Stony Brook on Saturday night. William & Mary trailed 10-3 late in the first quarter before holding Stony Brook scoreless the r est of the way. Imoh's 10-yard run gave William & Mary its first lead at 13-10 and he added scoring runs of 2 and 28 yards in the fourth quarter. Darius Wilson passed for 176 yards with one interception for William & Mary (4-1, 1-1 Colonial Athletic Asso ciation). Ethan Chang made a 57-yard field goal to set a program record. Malachi Imoh ran for a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter to help William & Mary beat Campbell 37-21 on Saturday night. Imoh ran toward the left sideline and cut back before scoring from inside the 30 to give William & Mary (1-1) a 24-14 lead with 5 :03 remaining in the third quarter. The Tribe's Jalen Jones then picked off a Hajj-Malik Williams pass attempt and returned the ball along the right sidelines untouched for about 30 yards before jumping into the end zone. Imoh's 55-yard TD run capped the scoring with 19 seconds remaining in the third. Williams threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Julian Hill just before halftime for Campbell (1-1). Williams' 7-yard TD run pulled the Camels to 17-14 early in the third. - AP College Football

2022 PRESEASON ALL-CAA CONFERENCE HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES/MEDIA): Malachi Imoh, RB, William & Mary,...Although Imoh was limited by injury last season, he earned second-team All-CAA honors by Phil Steele after rushing for 384 yards on 67 carries with a pair of touchdowns. Additionally, he averaged 54.9 rushing yards per game and 5.7 yards per carry. Highlighting his redshirt freshman campaign was a 101-yard effort that included a 53-yard touchdown scamper versus James Madison, while he piled up 67 yar ds on 13 carries with a touchdown in the win at No. 4 Villanova. - William & Mary Football
