 Elliott Davison, Texas-San Antonio, Player News


  UTSA head football coach Jeff Traylor on Friday announced that the program has added Elliott Davison, a transfer from UIW, to the 2023 signing class, bringing the total to 24 student-athletes. Davison played three seasons for the Cardinals, appearing in 27 games over the past two years as a safety. He recorded 42 tackles, including 30 solo stops, collected six pass breakups and shared the team lead with three interceptions to help guide UIW to the semifinal round of the 2022 FCS Playoffs, finishing 12-2 and ranking as high as No. 5 nationally.

Of the 24 signees, 16 hail from the state of Texas with seven from the Greater Houston Area, five from East Texas and two apiece from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and Central Texas. There are two signees from Georgia and one each from Alabama, Hawai'i, Louisiana, Mississippi and Pennsylvania, as well as the program's first-ever player from American Samoa. - Texas-San Antonio Football

  2022 PRESEASON ALL-SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM (COACHES): DB Elliott Davison, UIW, Jr., Flint, Texas,...Davison appeared in 11 games for UIW in 2021, however still managed to lead the team in interceptions (4) and was 3rd in total tackles (55). He would finish the season with 55 tackles, 1.5 tackles-for-loss, 4 interceptions and 7 pass break-ups. Davison was a defensive playmaker in the Cardinals playoff overtime win against Stephen F. Austin University, where he recorded 5 tackles and 2 interceptions. He also had a season high 9 tackles against Northwestern State University on October 2. - Incarnate Word Football
