2021 ALL-BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE SECOND-TEAM (COCHES/MEDIA): RB - Parker Driggers, R-Soph., North Alabama,...In his first full season of action at UNA, Driggers rushed for 470 yards on 89 carries with nine touchdowns. He earned a Big South Conference Offens ive Player of the Week honor for Oct. 16 after rushing for 145 yards, with 255 all-purpose yards, including a school, conference and NCAA record 99-yard TD run against Robert Morris. Driggers also caught 22 passes for 158 yards and scored one TD. He rank s fourth in the Big South Conference in scoring with 10 touchdowns. - North Alabama Football

Parker Driggers ran for touchdowns, Jaylen Gipson ran for another two and North Alabama defeated Hampton 35-27 on Saturday. The Lions (3-8, 2-4 Big South) never trailed and led 35-21 after Driggers' 2-yard touchdown run with 3:11 left in the game. Tymere Robinson scored for Hampton (5-6, 3-4) with 1:06 to go but North Alabama recovered the onside kick. Blake Dever completed 15 of 28 passes for 254 yards and the Lions had a total of 351 passing yards. Jett Duffey completed 15 of 24 passes for 242 yards a nd led the Pirates with 69 yards on the ground. Romon Copeland had six receptions for 129 yards. - AP College Football

Parker Driggers ran for 145 yards and three touchdowns - including a school- and Big South Conference-record 99-yarder - on just 12 carries and North Alabama picked up its first win of the season with a 42-31 victory over Robert Morris on Saturday. Drigg ers staked the Lions (1-6, 1-2) to leads of 7-0 and 14-7 with short touchdowns runs before racing 99 yards to the end zone to make it a two-score lead. Jaxton Carson added a 4-yard TD run and Rett Files connected with E.J. Rogers for a 38-yard score as N orth Alabama took a 35-10 lead into halftime. Files capped the scoring for the Lions with a 32-yard TD toss to Kobe Warden in the final period. Files was 20-of-30 passing for 262 yards with two interceptions. George Martin completed 17 of 40 passes for 2 52 yards and two third-quarter TDs - an 18-yarder to James Westry and a 22-yarder to Alijah Jackson - for the Colonials (2-3, 1-2).
