  2021 ALL-MISSOURI VALLEY FOOTBALL HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES): RB Cole Mueller,...In his first competitive season with the Redbirds, Mueller made an immediate impact and picked up his first all-conference honor. The Wentzville, Missouri, native ranked third in the MVFC in rushing yards (977) and was fourth in rushing yards per game (88.8). He finished the season ranked in the Top 20 of the FCS in rush yards (No. 15) and yards per game (No. 20), averaged 5.2 yards per carry and rushed for a team-best six touchdowns. Mueller had four 100-plus yard efforts in 2021 and was named MVFC Offensive Player of the Week and Newcomer of the Week, after rushing for a career-best 178 yards with 69-yad touchdown run in the win over South Dakota. - Illinois State Football

  SEPT 6 MISSOURI VALLEY FOOTBALL NOTABLE PERFORMANCE: RB Cole Mueller, Illinois State -- Mueller broke out in a big way for the Redbirds in their 49-7 win over Butler Saturday night at Hancock Stadium. The Wentville, Missouri, native saw his first game action in Redbird uniform and did not disappoint, as he led the team with a career-high 111 yards rushing and scored a pair of touchdowns in the ISU victory. Mueller averaged 13.9 yards per carry in the contest thanks to an 80-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter. He also added a 1-yard score in the victory, as the Redbirds amassed 297 yards on the ground against the Bulldogs. - Missouri Valley Football
