Wide receiver Dont'e Thornton played sparingly last year but saved his best performance for the Alamo Bowl game against Oklahoma. He finished with four catches, 90 yards and a touchdown, including a 66-yard reception. In April's spring game, Thornton con tinued his strong play, catching three receptions for 116 yards and two touchdowns. Oregon's receiver group is inexperienced outside of UCLA transfer Chase Cota. Because of this, Thornton should get plenty of opportunities to show what he can do in offen sive coordinator Kenny Dillingham's system. - Register Guard
