In 10 games, Wright tallied 147 rushing attempts for 696 yards and 6 touchdowns ... He also finished 5th in the MVFC in all-purpose yards per game (96.70) and 14th in total touchdowns (7) ...   NOV 21 MISSOURI VALLEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEE: RB Jacardia Wright, Missouri State - The transfer from Kansas State also was prominent in MSU's season-high 247-yard rushing effort at Indiana State. Wright carried 19 times for 85 yards (4.5 yards per carry) and two touchdowns. He carried 7 times for 36 yards on MSU's first fourth-quarter touchdown drive, consuming a season-high 6 minutes, 53 seconds of clock on a TD drive that gave the Bears a 17-7 lead at the time. He then capped the drive with a 5-yard TD carry. He also had MSU's first score of the game from one yard out. - Missouri Valley Football

  Kevon Latulas had 100 rushing yards and scored a touchdown, Jacardia Wright added 85 yards and two touchdowns and Missouri State closed out its season with a 24-7 win over Indiana State on Saturday afternoon. The Bears were ranked as high as No. 4 in the FCS at one point in the season but stumbled to five straight losses. Missouri State (5-6, 3-5 Missouri Valley Football Conference) won three of its last four games.

This is the first season the Bears will not make the FCS playoffs in Bobby Petrino's three years as head coach. Wright, who scored on a 1-yard run in the first quarter, scored from 5 yards out early in the fourth quarter to stake Missouri State to a 17-7 lead. Latulas punched in from the 1 with 4:21 left to set the final margin.   SEPT 12 MISSOURI VALLEY NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK: RB Jacardia Wright, Missouri State, 6-0, 220, So., Decatur, Ill., St. Teresa High/Kansas State,...The transfer running back from Kansas State logged his first career 100-yard rushing game in MSU's win over No. 14 UT Martin this week, carrying 23 times for 120 yards (5.2 yards per carry) in a breakout effort. He also scored on a 19-yard pass from Jason Shelley with 35 seconds left in the first half to put the Bears up 21-14 at the half. Including his 4 pass receptions for 42 yards, Wright had 162 all-purpose yards for the game and became the first MSU player since last November (Kevon Latulas on 11/20/21) to rack up 100 rushing yards in the game. His game-high 47-yard rush is the longest run from scrimmage by an MSU player since a 67-yard run by Latulas at SIU (11/6/21). He is the fourth different MSU player under coach Bobby Petrino to record a 100-yard rushing game. - Missouri Valley Football
