  2022 ALL-SUN BELT CONFERENCE FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM: OL - Willie Lampkin, Coastal Carolina (Jr., OL - Lakeland, Fla.),...A two-time All-Sun Belt second-team the last two seasons, Lampkin picked up first-team all-conference accolades this year. Making the move from guard to center this year, Lampkin has made 11 starts to extend his streak to 36 consecutive starts for his CCU career. Named to the Rimington Trophy watch list, the junior was the top-graded offensive lineman for CCU in seven of the 11 games on the year, grading out at 85 percent or higher in all 11 contests.

To date, he has totaled 35 knockdown blocks this year, including a season-high 11 in the season-opening win over Army (Sept. 3). He also had three takedown blocks in wins at Georgia State (Sept. 22), at ULM (Oct. 8) and against ODU (Oct. 15), and has helped lead CCU's offense to the fifth-best rushing offense in the SBC at 166.5 yards per contest despite missing the top three running backs most of the season. - Coastal Carolina Football

  Coastal Carolina football had a total of nine Chanticleers named to the Athlon Sports' 2022 Preseason All-Sun Belt Teams, it was announced this week. Headlining the group were Grayson McCall, Willie Lampkin, and Josaiah Stewart who all garnered first-team honors, while D'Jordan Strong was named to the second team. Earning third-team accolades were Reese White and Antwine Loper on offense and Jerrod Clark on defense, while two Chanticleers in Braydon Bennett and graduate transfer Sam Pinckney picked up fourth-team honors. Coastal will kick off the 2022 football season at home on Saturday, Sept. 3, versus Army at 7 p.m. ET. - Coastal Carolina Football

  2021 ALL-SUN BELT SECOND TEAM (COACHES): OL - Willie Lampkin, Coastal Carolina (So., OL - Lakeland, Fla.),...Lampkin picked up All-Sun Belt second-team recognition for the second-straight season this year. He has made 12 starts at the left guard position for the Chants this season, and has played and started all 24 games since stepping foot on campus two years ago. The lone underclassman on the offensive line, the 2020 Freshman All-American again had a strong season in 2021. Lampkin is part of the offensive line unit that leads the way for an offense that leads the nation in third-down conversion percentage (54.1) and team passing efficiency (190.63).

The Chants lead the Sun Belt in third-down conversion percentage (54.1), fourth-down conversion percentage (75.0), completion percentage (70.2), first downs gained (287), fewest interceptions thrown (4), passing yards per completion (15.33), rushing offense (231.2), scoring offense (40.4), and total offense (493.1). The offensive line has allowed just 21 sacks on the season and just 61 tackles-for-loss, averages of 1.75 and 5.08 per game which both rank at the top of the Sun Belt. The Florida native has helped the offense rank first in the Sun Belt in scoring (37.5 ppg), second in total yards per game (446.8), second in total yards on the season (4,915), third in rushing (223.2 ypg), and fifth in passing yards on the year (2,460).
