Only two Purdue running backs have rushing attempts this season through the first three games. Zander Horvath. King Doerue. Horvath has 53 carries, Doerue has one due to missing the first two games because of an injury. But the Boilermakers also need mor e reinforcements at the position and added one this week when former Carmel standout Dylan Downing announced he was transferring to Purdue. Downing, who rushed for 1,092 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior for the Greyhounds, will start his Purdue career as a walk-on. Downing was a freshman at UNLV this season and played in the first two games before entering the NCAA transfer portal. He gained eight yards on three rushing attempts. - Journal and Courier
