2023 ALL-BIG SOUTH-OVC FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION FIRST TEAM: PR - Dalyn McDonald, Sr., Southeast Missouri,...McDonald, who is out of Gautier, Mississippi, was the top punt return man in the Big South-OVC. He returned 13 punts for 150 yards for an average of 1 1.5 yards per return. McDonald scored on a 65-yard punt return at Nicholls (Oct. 28). - Southeast Missouri Football

SEPT 25 OVC SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Dalyn McDonald, RS, 5-11, 174, So., Gautier, Miss., Southeast Missouri,...McDonald became the first player in the OVC to return a kickoff for a touchdown this season in the Redhawks 35-27 win over Central Ark ansas. After Central Arkansas scored to cut Southeast Missouri's lead to 21-17 with 1:29 left in the second quarter, McDonald ran back the ensuing kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown (the first by a SEMO player in four years). His 97-yard return tied the se cond-longest kickoff return for a touchdown in program history, and the fifth-longest by a FCS player this season. McDonald finished the day with five kick returns for 182 yards and also added four punt return and six receiving yards to tally 192 all-pur pose yards on the day.
