OCT 10 PIONEER FOOTBALL CO-DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Clayborne Fields III, Marist,...Fields turned the tide with two touchdowns in 1:29, leading Marist to a 45-31 PFL victory at Stetson, Saturday. With the game tied 31-31, he gave Marist the lead wit h an 83-yard punt return for a touchdown. On the ensuing Stetson drive, Fields sealed the victory with an interception at the Marist 30-yard line that he returned 70 yards for a touchdown (fourth longest pick-six in the FCS this season). He finished the day with 160 total return yards (80 punt, 10 kickoff, 70 interception) and had four tackles (two solo) and a pass breakup along with the interception and two touchdowns. - Pioneer League Football

2022 PRESEASON ALL-PIONEER FOOTBALL LEAGUE TEAM (COACHES): DB Clay Fields, Marist,...Fields was an Associated Press Football Championship Subdivision Third Team All-American last season. He was a Second Team All-PFL selection, and was named First Team Al l-PFL by Phil Steele Publications. Fields tied for the league lead with five interceptions last season, which included a pick in each of his last three games. He also broke up a team-best five passes and contributed 59 total tackles, two tackles for loss , and half a sack. - Marist Football
