Walter Rouse, Oklahoma, Player News
|
Walter Rouse was a big late win in the portal, as the Sooners secured his commitment after Rouse had already committed to Nebraska. Bill Bedenbaugh had plenty of success last season in the portal, grabbing McKade Mettauer from Cal and Tyler Guyton from T CU. Rouse fits that mold, and with Anton Harrison and Wanya Morris making the move to the NFL, there will be plenty of opportunity to make a quick impact. - Daily Oklahoman

The transfer portal giveth, and the transfer portal taketh away - sometimes with the same player in the span of three days. Walter Rouse, the Stanford offensive tackle who committed to Nebraska on Wednesday, flipped to Oklahoma by Saturday. The 6-foot-6, 318-pounder said this week that NU would "shock the world" in 2023. By the weekend, he'd pulled a shocker himself. "I never knew how the power of one's faith and gut intuition could so forcefully persuade a decision," Rouse wrote on Twitter. "That happe ned to me this week." - Lincoln Journal Star
