2020 ALL-MOUNTAIN WEST FOOTBALL HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES): AJ Vongphachanh, LB,...Vongphachanh, a 6-3, 230-pound sophomore inside linebacker from Pasco, Wash. (Chiawana HS), started five of the six games he played in this season and finished the year l eading the team with 50 tackles, which included 3.0 sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss, while adding one forced fumble and one safety. Overall, he ranked seventh in the MW and 65th in the nation in tackles with 8.3 per game. His best game of the season was a t Nevada as he recorded a career-high 17 tackles, which included a career-high-tying 1.0 sacks and a career-high-tying 1.0 tackles for loss, that resulted in a safety. Arkansas State coach Blake Anderson has resigned to take over at Utah State. Arkansas State announced Anderson’s departure to take a head coaching position at another FBS school. A person familiar with the decision told The Associated Press that Anders on was being hired by Utah State. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because Utah State was finalizing an agreement with Anderson and there was no official announcement. In seven years with Arkansas State, Anderson won 51 games and won consecutiv e Sun Belt titles in 2015 and '16. Utah State fired coach Gary Andersen after an 0-3 start to this season. Andersen was in his second year of his second stint at the Mountain West school based in Logan, Utah. - AP College Football
