South Alabama has added another Division I transfer to its roster for 2021, with the commitment of former TCU safety Atanza Vongor. Vongor, a native of Grand Prairie, Texas, will have three years of eligibility remaining with the Jaguars. He originally c ommitted to transfer to Colorado in May before re-entering the transfer portal a month later. The 6-foot-1, 208-pound Vongor was a four-star recruit and a Top 200 national prospect in TCU's 2018 signing class, but a knee injury kept him off the field as a true freshman. He played in 11 games for the Horned Frogs in 2019 and five in 2020 (totaling two tackles in two seasons) before leaving the program at the end of the beginning of the spring semester. - Birmingham News

Former TCU safety Atanza Vongor is heading to Boulder. On Friday, Vongor announced on social media that he intends to transfer to Colorado and arrive this summer. He signed with CU on Friday and will be a sophomore with three years to play with the Buffa loes. Vongor, listed at 6-foot-1, 208 pounds by TCU, brings some much-needed depth and experience to the back end of CU's defense. After redshirting in 2018, Vongor played in 16 games over the past two seasons, mostly on special teams. On defense, he pla yed behind LaKendrick Van Zandt, who earned All-Big 12 honorable mention. He put his name in the transfer portal in January. CU has made several moves at safety this offseason in an attempt to upgrade the position. - Daily Camera
