Orange and white were still the primary jersey colors as Clemson football opened spring practice on March 6. But another color - yellow - was prominently featured. For the second spring in a row, Clemson coach Dabo Swinney's pre-practice press conference included a long rundown of players who will be limited participants in yellow jerseys. That includes defensive tackles Ruke Orhorhoro and Payton Page, who are recovering from shoulder injuries. Receivers Beaux Collins (shoulder) and Adam Randall (knee) are also on the mend, along with offensive lineman Walker Parks (ankle) and Marcus Tate (knee). "Definitely wish I had them out there, but they aren't gonna hand out any trophies this spring," Swinney said. "We'll be able to get done what we need to do f oundationally as a team with the guys we have." - Charleston Post Courier

Clemson defensive tackle Ruke Orhorhoro will be out for the next few months after being injured in the season opener against Wake Forest. Swinney said Orhorhoro suffered a meniscus injury against the Demon Deacons and will not be back until December. The sophomore was listed as the backup to Tyler Davis entering the season. He was credited with a quarterback pressure against Wake Forest. "Once they got in there they had to repair it, so he's going to be out a little longer than we hoped," Swinney said o f Orhorhoro. "We think he'll be back in December....We play Virginia Tech, and if we're fortunate enough to get to the (ACC) championship game we hope to have him back and ready by then and any postseason type play." Orhorhoro played in 10 games last sea son, recording five tackles, including 1.5 for loss. He signed with Clemson as a three-star prospect for the class of 2019. - The State
