Former Arkansas receiver Shamar Nash will transfer to Memphis in his hometown. Nash, who never played in two seasons with the Razorbacks, could have up to four seasons of eligibility remaining at Memphis. Nash opted out of playing at Arkansas in 2020 ove r covid-19 concerns. Nash was a 4-star recruit out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. Prior to transferring to IMG Academy, Nash played high school football at Memphis Central. - Northwest Arkansas Times

Arkansas receiver Shamar Nash is entering the NCAA transfer portal. The redshirt freshman made the announcement in a post to his Twitter account on Friday. He is the second Razorback this week to announce intentions to transfer, joining offensive lineman Chibueze Nwanna on Wednesday. Both players opted out of the 2020 season prior to Arkansas' first game. Like Nwanna, Nash did not play in two seasons with the Razorbacks. The Memphis native was one of four four-star receivers signed by the Razorbacks in their 2019 recruiting class, and he is the second to transfer. - Northwest Arkansas Times

University of Arkansas freshman receiver Shamar Nash has elected to opt out on the 2020 football season, sources have told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Nash, a 6-3, 215-pounder from Memphis, would be missing a second consecutive season of competition b y opting out, as he redshirted last season. Nash, who finished his prep career at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., was a four-star prospect and part of the Razorbacks' big crop of wide receiver signees in 2019 along with Treylon Burks, Trey Knox and TQ Ja ckson.
