  NOV 7 MISSOURI VALLEY OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: RB TaMerik Williams, North Dakota State, 6-1, 229, Sr., Angleton, Texas (Angleton HS/SMU),...Williams rushed for a game-high 120 yards on 12 carries with two touchdowns in North Dakota State's 56-17 road win over Western Illinois. Williams scored on a 25-yard run early in the first quarter and added a 1-yard TD late in the third quarter. He was one of 10 ball carriers for NDSU, which rushed 55 times for a season-high 453 yards and seven touchdowns. - Missouri Valley Football

  TaMerik Williams and TK Marshall each ran for more than 100 yards and had two touchdowns as North Dakota State routed winless-Western Illinois 56-17 on Saturday. Williams had 120 yards rushing on 12 carries and Marshall added 118 on six carries. Marshall had the longest scoring run of the game, a 65-yarder early in the fourth quarter. North Dakota State (7-2, 5-1 Missouri Valley Football Conference), ranked fourth in the FCS coaches poll, ran away from the start with Kobe Johnson's 47-yard touchdown run on the Bison's first play from scrimmage. The Bison, who have won eight straight against Western Illinois (0-9, 0-6), finished with 454 yards rushing on 55 carries and scored seven of their eight touchdowns on the ground. They attempted just five passes and Marques Sigle scored on a 43-yard pick-6.   OCT 9 MISSOURI VALLEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEE: RB TaMerik Williams, North Dakota State - Williams rushed for a career-high 145 yards and three touchdowns to spark North Dakota State to a 31-26 road win over Indiana State. Williams averaged 11.2 yards on 13 carries including a long of 38 yards. His 2-yard touchdown run brought the Bison back within 13-10 before halftime.   TaMerik Williams rushed for a career-high 145 yards and three touchdowns and FCS top-ranked North Dakota State rallied in the second half to beat Indiana State 31-26 on Saturday. Williams ran for a pair of third-quarter touchdowns when the Bison (5-1, 3-0 Missouri Valley Football Conference) passed the Sycamores (1-4, 0-2), taking a 24-20 lead on Williams' third TD run. Cam Miller's 10-yard touchdown pass to Zach Mathis in the fourth quarter gave the Bison an 11-point cushion they would need after Cade Chambers threw a fade to Dante Hendrix to get the Sycamores within five with two minutes left. NDSU then recovered an onside kick. Chambers finished with 162 yards passing and two scores and ran for another. Justin Dinka rushed for a career-high 156 yards on nine carries, including an 82-yard score, and Dante Hendrix added 109 yards receiving on seven catches, including two TDs.   TaMerik Williams rushed for 91 yards with two touchdowns and Cam Miller rushed for another as second-seeded North Dakota State used a powerful ground game to eliminate seventh-seeded East Tennessee State, 27-3, in the FCS quarterfinals on Saturday. Miller led back-to-back scoring drives in the second quarter, completing four of four passes, Williams scored on two short runs and North Dakota State (12-1) built a 13-0 lead in about six minutes. The Bison gained 278 yards rushing with four touchdowns. NDSU, ranked third in the final FCS coaches poll, will host second-ranked and No. 3 seed James Madison in the semifinal round Dec, 17-18.

The Bison have reached the semifinals for the 10th time, third-most among FCS teams. ETSU (11-2) had watched a 55-yard field goal attempt fall short and to the left, giving the Bison possession at their own 38. Eight plays later, Williams barreled in from the 3. ETSU was forced to punt after a three-and-out and North Dakota State went 76 yards to score again in nine plays, Williams scoring from the 7. In the third quarter, Michael Tutsie stepped in front of the intended receiver to pick off Tyler Riddell near midfield and, four plays later, Miller scored from the 3.   Quarterback Cam Miller ran for two scores, TaMerik Williams tallied 112 yards rushing and two scoring runs and second-seeded North Dakota State was never threatened in a 38-7 win on Saturday in the second round of the FCS playoffs. The Bison advance to play No. 7-seed East Tennessee State which needed a late rally to beat Kennesaw State 32-31 on Saturday. North Dakota (11-1) didn't need late heroics in its commanding performance establishing a 10-0 lead after the first quarter when Miller ran it in from the 9-yard line to complete a nine-play, 83-yard drive. Jake Reinholz then kicked a 20-yard field goal with 1:58 left in the first.

Nic Baker threw a 22-yard touchdown pass,to Landon Lenoir six seconds into the second and the Salukis (8-5) were within three. But the Bison established two sustained scoring drives that broke Southern Illinois' will. The Bison used 13 plays to go 65 yards and Williams' 1-yard plunge with 7:45 before halftime made it 17-7. Following the Salukis' three-and-out that generated no yardage, North Dakota then stomped out 11 plays in 63 yards and made it 24-7 when Miller ran it in from the 5 at the two-minute warning.
