Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt and center Sincere Haynesworth said on a podcast Tuesday night they were returning to the team in 2023, ending recent speculation regarding Pratt and reversing a senior night decision in Haynesworth's case. Pratt, a third -year player who was named second-team All-American Athletic Conference, never said a word about intending to leave after guiding the Green Wave to the league championship. Still, rumors persisted he would seek an NIL deal at a Power Five conference scho ol-possibly Florida in his home state-and play somewhere else as a senior after 14th-ranked Tulane (11-2) faces No. 10 USC (11-2) in the Cotton Bowl on Jan. 2.Haynesworth, a first-team All-AAC pick and two-year co-captain just like Pratt, has star ted 36 consecutive games from 2020 to 2022 after making 11 appearances with five starts as a freshman in 2019. He participated in senior night ceremonies before Tulane's final regular-season home game against SMU on Nov. 17-leading everyone to believe he would apply for the NFL draft-but he was eligible for another season due to the free COVID year the NCAA granted all players in 2020. - New Orleans Times Picayune

2022 ALL-AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM: C Sincere Haynesworth, Tulane, Sr.,...Joining Tyjae Spears from the offense as AAC First Team All-Conference selections this year is guard Prince Pines and center Sincere Haynesworth. It is the first-time that Pines has earned All-AAC honors since he transferred to Tulane from Sam Houston State, while this is the third time that Haynesworth has been an All-AAC choice (Second Team in 2020 and Honorable Mention in 2021).
