2022 ALL-MISSOURI VALLEY FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM: DL Caleb Sanders, South Dakota State, Sr.,...Sanders, a senior defensive tackle from Glenwood, Iowa, tallied a team-best five sacks and ranked second with six tackles for loss for a unit that ended the regula r season as the top rushing defense in the FCS ranks by allowing only 71.2 yards per game on the ground. Sanders, who tallied 24 total tackles in 11 games, was an all-MVFC First Team honoree during the 2020-21 spring season and was a second-team selectio n last fall. - South Dakota State Football

NOV 7 MISSOURI VALLEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEE: DT Caleb Sanders, South Dakota State - Sanders was a disruptive force throughout the day in South Dakota State's 31-28 victory at Northern Iowa on Nov. 5, recording a career-high three sacks among his fou r total tackles. Sanders' three sacks resulted in a loss of 30 yards and his last sack of 10 yards helped give the Jackrabbits excellent field position to set up their last-second, game-winning field goal. SDSU recorded five sacks on the day and Sanders upped his season total to five sacks to take over the team lead. - Missouri Valley Football
