Connor Bishop and Marquel Broughton play on different sides of the football, one getting dirty on the line and the other patrolling the outfield, if you will. They have differing styles of leading but with the shared sentiment of helping their fellow cad ets and friends. Broughton and Bishop share a business management major and now they share duties as Army's co-captains for the 2022 season. "It's an incredible honor," Bishop said. "I think it's one of the best honors that you can have is to be named ca ptain by your team. I'm just incredibly grateful and excited for the opportunity."As a junior, Broughton was one of four co-captains on the 2021 team that went 9-4 and beat Missouri in the Armed Forces Bowl. Broughton brought much energy and vocal leadership to the job. He was not assured of serving as captain again but his popularity among his teammates made him a shoe-in. "It's a blessing, just like last year," Broughton said. "It's nice to be voted as a leader here at West Point due to the cir cumstances of all the leaders here. This is the premier leadership school. Just knowing that I can do it two times, it's big, and I'm definitely happy about it." - Times Herald-Record
