NOV 21 SEC CO-SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jack Podlesny, PK, Georgia,...With temperatures in the 30s and winds gusting in the 20s, Podlesny drilled all three of his field goals and knocked down his only PAT to help deliver Georgia a 16-6 victory... The Bulldogs only had three possessions in the opening half and Podlesny finished each of them with field goals in the range of 24 to 37 yards to give his team a 9-0 edge going into the half...He also had two touchbacks on his kickoffs and added another point late in the third quarter to help Georgia outdistance themselves from the Wildcats. - SEC Football

Jack Podlesny kicked a 53-yard field goal with three seconds remaining, and No. 11 Georgia handed No. 6 Cincinnati its only loss of the season with a dramatic 24-21 victory in the Peach Bowl on Friday. Georgia trailed 21-10 in the fourth quarter, but its defense clamped down on Desmond Ridder and Cincinnati and JT Daniels helped rally the Bulldogs with his arm. Daniels finished with 392 yards passing. Podlesny's third field goal was his longest of the season and gave Georgia a 22-21 lead. Azeez Ojulari sacked Ridder for a safety on the final play. It was Ojulari's third sack. Georgia tied a school record with eight sacks. Ridder completed 24 of 37 passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns. Jerome Ford added a career-long 79-yard touchdown run early in th e second half but it wasn't enough for the Bearcats. - AP College Football

2020 LOU GROZA COLLEGIATE PLACE-KICKER AWARD NATIONAL SEMIFINALIST: Jack Podlesny - Georgia,...Podlesny has taken over for Blankenship this season and made 10 of 12 field goal attempts, including four of five from at least 40 yards out. His performance h as included a 50 and a 51-yard kicks. Podlesny, who was a Lou Groza "Star of the Week" earlier this season, is 30-for-30 on PATs this year. Georgia extended the NCAA record this season for consecutive PATs to 322 following another six successful kicks fr om Podlesny in the latest victory over South Carolina. Any concerns Georgia might have endured after losing four-year starting kicker Rodrigo Blankenship have been eased by redshirt sophomore Jack Podlesny, who was 3-for-3 on field-goal attempts against Tennessee and made all five extra-point tries. Podlesny had a career-best kick of 47 yards and then topped it with a 51-yarder. "We kicked more field goals this preseason than I've ever kicked in my life," Smart said.
