2022 ALL-AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE HONORABLE MENTION: RS Jayce Rogers, Houston, Sr.,...Rogers returned 13 kickoffs for 30.5 yards including a 100-yard kickoff return touchdown at Memphis on Oct. 7. The defensive back, who finished tied for fifth on th e team in tackles, is the only player nationally with a kickoff return touchdown and interception return touchdown on the season. He is the first player to accomplish the feat since Louisiana Tech's Amik Robertson in 2019. - Houston Football

OCT 10 AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jayce Rogers, Sr., DB/KR, Houston,...Rogers made a pivotal special teams play on his first career kickoff return in Houston's 33-32 win at Memphis. After Memphis had taken a 29-13 lead midway through the fourth quarter, Rogers took the ensuing kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown to bring the Cougars within 10 points as Houston erased a 19-point deficit in the final 12:44. Rogers, who became the 14th player in American Athletic Conferenc e history to register a 100-yard kickoff return, also had five tackles against the Tigers. - American Athletic Conference Football

Jayce Rogers returned a kickoff for the first time since he transferred to Houston last year, and he took it all the way. Rogers' 100-yard return came in the fourth quarter of the Cougars' 33-32 win over Memphis and was their 18th kick return for a touch down since 2008. Rogers ran back kicks for Northwest Mississippi Community College prior to joining the Cougars and had one return for a touchdown. - AP College Football
