  - UTEP defensive end Jadrian Taylor announced that he would enter his name into the 2023 NFL Draft. Taylor made the announcement on his Twitter on Sunday night. Taylor is coming off a spectacular 2022 season. In 12 games played, Taylor recorded 42 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. That one fumble recovery led to Taylor going 100-yards for a touchdown at Charlotte. Taylor's 9.5 total sacks on the season were enough to lead Conference USA. The cherry on top of his senior season was a place on the 2022 All-Conference USA first team. - KTSM

  2022 ALL-CONFERENCE USA FIRST TEAM: DE: Jadrian Taylor, UTEP,...Taylor made national news when he scooped up a fumble and dashed 100 yards for a touchdown at Charlotte on Oct. 1. Taylor leads C-USA with 9.5 sacks while ranking tied for ninth in FBS. Taylor concluded his career by producing 42 tackles with 11.5 tackles for loss (74 yards), four pass breakups, four hurries and a forced fumble, starting in all 12 games. Taylor totaled 3.0 sacks at Charlotte while he registered a career-high eight tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and recorded a pair of sacks against FAU. The Lufkin, Texas, product tallied four tackles and a sack at no. 9 OU, and registered sacks against LA Tech, Middle Tennessee, FIU (0.5) and UTSA. Taylor wrapped up his career ranked with 16.0 sacks and is tied for fourth in program history. - Texas-El Paso Football

  OCT 18 C-USA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: UTEP DE Jadrian Taylor tied a school record with a career-high 3.5 sacks in UTEP's defensive victory against LA Tech on Oct. 16. Taylor added career bests in tackles (six) and tackles for loss (3.5). Taylor's 3.5 sacks totaled 13 loss yards. Louisiana Tech QB Austin Kendall started 6-6, but ended the night 14-28 due to UTEP's strong defensive effort. The Bulldogs' three points were the fewest in a conference game since 2008 (members of the WAC). Additionally, all of Taylor's sacks came during the first half. - C-USA Football
