2022 ALL-CAA FOOTBALL THIRD TEAM: Thyrick Pitts, Delaware, WR, Gr.,...Pitts earns his third-straight all-conference honor as he again has been a dominant force at the wideout position. The Manassas, Va. native is second on the team with 49 catches for 52 8 yards and he is second in the conference with nine touchdown receptions. Pitts ranks among the top 10 in several receiving categories in Delaware's career record book and needs one more reception to tie the record for consecutive games with a reception (42). - Delaware Football

Nolan Henderson completed 30 of 43 passes for 296 yards and five touchdowns - three to Thyrick Pitts - to help Delaware beat Hampton 35-3 Saturday night. Henderson connected with Pitts on touchdowns of 15 and 8 yards to give Delaware (4-0, 2-0 Colonial A thletic Association) a 14-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. Jourdan Townsend scored on a 36-yard reception early in the third quarter and Pitts added a 7-yard TD grab with 1:46 left in the third to give the Blue Hens, ranked No. 8 in the FCS coache s poll, a 28-0 lead. Axel Perez kicked a 20-yard field goal to get Hampton (3-1, 0-1) on the board with 12 minutes to play before Henderson connected with Marcus Yarns on a 7-yard TD that capped the scoring with 7:54 to play. He has been a member of the Delaware SAAC Committee and was a part of the University's COVID Project Working Group. Pitts is also involved in several service organizations that give back to the community like UDance and the B+ Foundation, Reps 4 Kids and Be the Match. In the classroom, Pitt s is a two-time member of the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll and a four-time selection to the Dean's List. The graduate student finished with team highs of 43 receptio ns for 669 yards and he ranked fourth in the CAA with seven touchdown receptions. He was fifth in the conference with 66.9 receiving yards per game and had three games against CAA opponents with at least 100 receiving yards, including a career day of 11 catches for 169 yards against Richmond. - Delaware Football
