2022 ALL-MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM: Tight End - Christian Sims, Bowling Green,...Sims (Sr., Norcross, Ga.) turned in a comparable season to the 2021 campaign when he earned first-team accolades. Sims was second on the team with 41 receptions fo r 402 receiving yards and two touchdowns. His third-and-long catch for 35 yards in the closing minute at Toledo set up the game-winning score by Keith. He was third in the league among tight ends with 41 catches and had at least three receptions in 10 of the 11 games in which he played. - Bowling Green Football

2022 PRESEASON JOHN MACKEY AWARD WATCH LIST: CHRISTIAN SIMS, BOWLING GREEN,...Sims (Norcross, Ga.) was a first-team All-MAC honoree in 2021 after leading the league's tight ends with 41 receptions and 418 receiving yards. He is a first-team preseason All -MAC selection by both Athlon Sports and Phil Steele, as well as being named to the East-West Shrine Bowl 1000 List. Sims is the first Falcon to be named to the Mackey Award Watch List since current BGSU special teams coordinator Alex Bayer made the 2012 list. Kent State's Kris Leach is the only other MAC tight end on the list. - Bowling Green Football

2021 ALL-MAC FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Tight End - Christian Sims, Bowling Green,...Sims (Jr., Norcross, Ga.) led the league's tight ends with 41 receptions and 418 receiving yards. He was second among MAC tight ends with two receiving touchdowns. He added a nother touchdown on his first career rush, a four-yard score at NIU. Sims had his best game at Buffalo when he made five catches for 103 yards and two touchdowns, which included a career-long 81-yard receiving touchdown. Sims gives BGSU a first-team All- MAC tight end for the second year in a row. Quintin Morris earned the accolade in 2020. - Bowling Green Football
