2022 ALL-CONFERENCE USA FIRST TEAM: P: Kyle Ulbrich, Middle Tennessee,...Ulbrich, a senior, enjoyed his best season as a Blue Raider in 2022. He led Conference USA and was sixth nationally in punting average with an MTSU single-season record 46.2 yards a punt. 2022 PRESEASON RAY GUY WATCHLIST: Kyle Ulbrich - Middle Tennessee,...Ulbrich (6-0, 203) attended two high schools and two colleges. He took a redshirt year in 2017 at Valparaiso and then averaged 37 yards punting in 2018. At Middle Tennessee in 2019 he h ad 46 punts for a 41.4 average, with seven go for 50 or more yards and nine downed inside the 20-yard line. He finished 2020 with a career-best 43.8-yard average while having 13 boots of 50 or more yards and was named to the Ray Guy Award Watch List . La st season Ulbrich had a 44.4-yard punting average with 16 punts of 50 or more yards and 24 downed inside the 20-yard line. He was a three-year varsity starter at Mentor High School (sophomore and junior year) and Lake Catholic High School (senior year). As a senior, had 27 punts and averaged 40.7 yards per punt with a long of 62 yards (placed 12 inside the 20). The Augusta Sports Council has announced the pre-season watch list for the 2021 Ray Guy Award, which honors the nation's top collegiate punter and Middle Tennessee's Kyle Ulbrich is on the prestigious list for the second year in a row. Ulbrich, a redshir t junior, was recently named to the C-USA Preseason Watch List after averaging a career-best 43.8 yards a punt. Along with a 75-yard boot last year, Ulbrich registered 13 punts of 50 or more yards. The 51 candidates on the list incorporate a broad spectr um of Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) punters. The 2021 watch list was compiled based on the 2021 Ray Guy Award Semifinalist List, the top ten NCAA Punters from 2020, the 2020 All-Conference teams, the 2020 All-American Teams, the 2021 pre-season All-Con ference Teams and punters on the 2020 watchlist. - Middle Tennessee Football
